Neighbourhood Democracy Movement
The movement that is The People’s Powerhouse was formed in response to the lack of diversity and representation in the north. Since then, we've provided a platform and warm friendship to many people and organisations across the north. We have hosted 4 Conventions and numerous individual listening events and kept close contact with everyone during the lockdowns through our Recovery Coalition and Racial Justice Network. Plans for the 5th convention are now well underway.
We want every northerner to be heard so that they can influence the changes they want to see. We bring northerners together so that they can decide what the future of the north should look like. We listen, deliberate and decide together so that everyone’s voice is heard by those with influence and to encourage them to be the best they can be to create change.
